Delaware County Technical High School has two main locations,  Aston and Folcroft Campus, as well as the following satellite programs: 

Culinary Arts and Food Service Management at the Marple Education Center

Emergency & Protective Services at the Delaware County Emergency Training Center

Medical Careers at our four partnering hospitals.

Students from the fifteen (15) area school districts have the opportunity to enhance their educational program with career and technical experiences that are directly connected to the real world. Business and Industry members review and update the career and technical education (CTE) programs offered by DCTS on a yearly basis.

Program Spotlight

HVAC  Enrolling NOW for Fall 2013!

 By the year 2020 

  • all occupations in the United States will grow by 14.3%   
  • the HVACR industry will grow by 33.7% 
  • 34.4% of current HVACR workforce is expected to retire 
In summary in eight years 65.6% of service persons in the HVACR industry will be people that are not in the industry today.

If you want to study a course in high school that can start you on a great career, try HVAC. As a professional, you would have a central role in making homes and buildings more energy efficient. Students can start these classes in high school, earn college credit towards certifications and associate degrees such as HVACR, Energy Auditing or Renewable Energy Technologies. They can enter the job market a semester ahead or continue for a bachelors in fields such as Construction Management or Building Science and Sustainable Design.

Culinary Students Win Scholarships

C-CAP Competition 2013Eight students in the DCTS Culinary Arts Program successfully competed against dozens of their peers in C-CAP – Careers through Culinary Arts Program Cooking Competition for Scholarships. C-CAP works with public schools across the country to prepare high school students for college and career opportunities in the restaurant and hospitality industry.

C-CAP is a three-tier cooking competition where students can win scholarships to support their post-secondary culinary and hospitality education. C-CAP selects recipes to test competitors’ mastery of basic culinary techniques. MORE INFO >>
