UTI Automotive Technology Showcase

Universal Technical Institute presented a technology showcase for Automotive Technology and Collision Repair students. They presented a variety of opportunities for post-secondary study. Filling the bay with some of the newest models, they challenged students to understand the levels of electronic, computer and fuel technologies involved in the design and repair of tomorrow’s cars. FCCLA Fundraisers Help Local Community

Congratulations to DCTS FCCLA (Family, Career & Community Leaders of America) for successful fundraisers. Students organized a “Pictures with Santa” event which raised $330.00, divided for funeral expenses for families of the two boys who killed recently on Chester Pike.

The Hat and Mitten Tree provided Delcroft Elementary with 37 gloves/mittens, 26 hats, 3 scarves, and 11 hat and glove sets for students in need.

Dental Assistant

New Enrolling NOW for Fall 2012!

Students who enroll in the Dental Technology program learn a variety of skills that enable them to become a dental assistant, dental laboratory technician, and/or pursue a career as a dental hygienist. The program focuses on patient-centered care in support of improving oral health as a key to personal health and well being.

The major areas of study in the course follow EFDA technical standards, including: dental radiology, oral pathology, chair-side dental assisting, anatomy and physiology, dental materials, sterilization and business office procedures. The dental assistant works directly with the dentist, performing a variety of tasks from helping the dentist examine and treat patients to completing laboratory and office work.
