The Heartsaver AED with Pediatric CPR Course teaches the basicĀ  techniques of adult CPR and use of an AED. Pediatric CPR skills may be taught if students live or work in a setting where children are present. Students also learn to use barrier devices in CPR and give first aid for choking for responsive adult, child and infant victims. The course teaches how to recognize the signs of four major emergencies: heart attack, stroke, cardiac arrest and
choking.

Intended Audience: Responders such as police, airline personnel,
security personnel, corporate employees, and family members
of patients at high risk for sudden cardiac death, other rescuers,
and those who need or want to learn CPR and how to operate
an AED.
