Graphic designers – or graphic artists – plan, analyze, and create visual solutions to communications problems. They find the most effective way to get messages across in print, electronic, and film media using color, type, illustration, photography, print and layout techniques.
An increasing number of graphic designers also develop material for Internet Web pages, interactive media, and multimedia projects. Students learn the concepts of color and design using industry standard computer graphics applications.
The goal is to provide students with knowledge and skills required for entry-level positions or admissions to post-secondary programs in a variety of fields.

Selected students will compete in the Skills USA District 2 Competition at Western Montgomery Career and Technical Center. Leadership Competitions are scheduled January 31; Skills Competitions are scheduled February 1.
We are tentatively holding February 2nd in calendar in case of snow.
