Technovation is a FREE international technology and entrepreneurship program for girls.

In just 12 weeks, teams of 3-5 girls will work together to develop an app and create a business plan that addresses a problem in their community. #DelcoGirls will learn and apply the language of technology – code – to compete in the longest running international technology and entrepreneurship program for girls, Technovation. Girls do not need to have programming experience to participate.

#DelcoGirls will:

  • Identify a community problem they would like to solve
  • Learn MIT’s AppInventor2 – a programming language
  • Create business plan
  • Develop app
  • Pitch app at Delaware County Chamber of Commerce’s Suburban Innovation Week during Philly Tech Week

Each team of girls will be paired with a mentor, a professional woman in business and/or tech, to support and act as a role model and project manager for the team.
